Water from Unexpected Places - Help Requested!
It seems that this time of year water likes to find us ;) This morning, I (Stasia) received a call from Ellen that Kingston had flooded. Well, not exactly flooded, perhaps rained on? Due to an unfortunate plumbing event upstairs, water had poured down through their floor into our ceiling and eventually to our floor.
Thanks to the wonderful help of some quick responders (Ron, Dianna, Jennifer, Bob, Jeremy, Dan, and Ellen) we were able to move the church's property from one side of the hall to the other and by doing so clearing space for the cleaners to come in and do their work.
So, this is where your help is requested. After the carpet dries we will need to move everything back into the spaces we emptied. The plan, as of right now, is to move back Pastor Stasia's office Thursday afternoon and the nursery on Friday morning. If you are interested and available to help, please let the church office know what times would work for you. Once we have a better idea of when people are available and the floor is dry, I'll email out an announcement of the times we will meet to put things back in order.
In the meantime, the prayer room, Grant Wood Room (worship), and adult classroom are closed. As of right now Christianity 101 is still meeting Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. Perhaps we should discuss baptism this week? ;)
Thanks!
